• Replacement of the lichen/moss covered shingles and underlayment.
• Replaced damaged areas of sheathing.
• Constructed a new ridge vent.
• Contacting Mass Save to assess the attic insulation and soffit vents.
• Updated roof flashing, paying close attention to the area around the chimney to ensure a watertight barrier between the chimney and the roof.
• Recommendation that the homeowner contact an appropriate contractor to assess the missing mortar on the chimney.
• Replacing the boot pipe around the plumbing vent pipe with the Ultimate Boot pipe which is made to last the lifetime of the roof. 

The project successfully addressed the homeowner's roof and chimney issues, resulting in a fully restored, secure, and leak-free roofing system. The replacement of the moss- and lichen-covered shingles, along with damaged areas of sheathing, provided a strong foundation for the new roof.
