Problem

Old and leaking roof was causing water damage.

The Master Roof team was called to take a look at a home in Holliston. The colonial style home had an attached garage and the roof over the garage was leaking and needed a thorough inspection. The primary issues leading to this inspection were:

• Noticeable leaks in the garage

The inspection determined that a new roof was in order, along with the replacement of skylights, and a reworking of the roof ventilation system on the garage.  This was all intended to provide a long-lasting, waterproof envelope for the home and involved updating and improving several items on the roof:

• The old guttering had pulled away from the house, allowing water into the gaps between guttering and fascia.  The guttering was replaced.
• Step flashing between garage and house was replaced with ice and water barrier going up the side walls.
• Soffit vents cleaned and opened to ensure proper operation.
